Meet the distributor: Cautus Geo

Cautus Geo has been Measurand’s distributor in Norway for nine years. They have used ShapeArray’s real-time data collection to monitor underwater subsidence, sheet pile wall deflection, and slope stability near railways. Atle Gerhardsen, Cautus Geo’s CEO, spoke with Measurand about his company’s work.

“We are a monitoring company, so we do all types of monitoring. Focusing, especially on unstable construction and that area. And we are also doing environmental monitoring,” Gerhardsen said. “We can follow the whole life cycle of a project. We can do site investigations. We can do planning of a monitoring system and we can also perform the installation. And we can follow-up the project for the whole life-time.

From Cautus Geo’s website: “We aim to be a leading and innovative provider of effective and secure solutions for geo-monitoring and automatic measurement systems for land, water and vulnerable structures. An important part of our approach is to be able to connect reason factors and events together for common analysis and development of predictive models in real time. By combining several types of sensors in an integrated solution, we can distinguish unnatural events from normal trends.”
