Director of Strategic Growth joins Measurand

Measurand is proud to introduce a new member of the team. Finnegan Mwape has joined Measurand as the director of strategic growth, with a focus on the United States market.

“Measurand is a company definitely on the rise,” Mwape said. “The results in the last two to three years speak for themselves. The product is ubiquitous. There’s wide applications worldwide. What better platform to play than here?”

Mwape’s experience in the geotechnical industry is well-grounded. He graduated from the University of Arizona with a Geological Engineering degree before working with Kleinfelder as a Geotechnical Project Engineer/Project Manager. Later, he worked with Twining as Principal Engineer/Branch Manager following their work on Sacramento International Airport’s $1.1 billion expansion project.

Mwape said a focus on business has always been on his mind, even in college, which lead to a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) in 2010.

“What always resonated with me is that relationship-making—client development,” Mwape said.

Prior to his role at Measurand, Mwape acted as Geocomp‘s product sales manager before becoming their global client development executive.

“I’ve always liked the challenge of creating a strategy, executing it from a business standpoint, to grow something or even increase the footprint or market share,” Mwape said. “That’s probably my true passion—figuring those things out, putting strategies together and executing them.”
