Inclinometer Casing Retrofitting

Located near the Athabasca Oil Sands, Fort McMurray is home to a number of large-scale bitumen extraction operations. The tailings ponds associated with bitumen extraction cover 220 square kilometres and hold an estimated 1.2 trillion litres of contaminated water [1].

Given the importance placed on tailings containment, more companies are automating their monitoring strategies with ShapeArray to get better data, more quickly, and most importantly—more safely.
