SAASPD

The SAA Surge Protection Device (SAASPD) protects all ShapeArray models from electrical surges caused by indirect lightning strikes. The SAASPD is most effective when installed along the ShapeArray cable and connected to a grounding rod or plate with copper wiring.

The SAA Surge Protection Device (SAASPD) protects all ShapeArray models from electrical surges caused by indirect lightning strikes. The SAASPD is most effective when installed along the ShapeArray cable and connected to a grounding rod or plate with 8-AWG copper wiring. In the event a large surge destroys the SAASPD, you will want to locate it so that it can be accessed for replacement. As with any electrical equipment, there is virtually no protection provided if lightning strikes the cable directly.
